One of the many benefits of being part of the Learning Academy Partnership is that we are able to work with other members of our trust school family. Within the Newton and Teign hub, we continually look for and plan opportunities for our pupils to work with pupils of our sister school, All Saints Marsh C of E Academy, to enable them to learn and grow as part of a wider community of learners. The children enjoy feeling a part of something ‘bigger’ and it helps them to form a wider network of connections and engage within enriching experiences across our school family.
Here we would like to share with you some examples of how the children work together to support each other and how our community reaches beyond our immediate school setting.”
Templar Class enjoyed speaking to their peers at Dunsford swapping ideas for their Torbay and Devon Civic Award.
Pupils work on a shared curriculum in Art with our hub academy, All Saints Marsh, focussing on the art of Andy Goldsworthy. They created and shared their art.
Forde and Bradley Class joined Willow class at Dunsford for a question time! How wonderful! They cannot wait to meet up again virtually soon.
Templar Class have been busy writing Christmas cards to their pen pals at Dunsford. We are looking forward to receiving ours and learning all about our peers at our sister school.
It was wonderful to welcome members of our Newton and Teign Local Committee to discuss our ethos at Dunsford and to hear our vision and values shine from the children.
It is great to have this experience as part of a trust family of schools.
